“When
the Son of Man comes...” Luke 18:8
The question raises the
possibility that when Jesus returns, there might be a decline in faith and a prevalence of doubt or unbelief.
The title "Son of Man"
is a Messianic term used by Jesus. This phrase points to the second coming of
Christ, a future event anticipated in Christianity, where Jesus will return to
establish His kingdom and execute final judgment. This event (the second
coming) is after the Rapture and the Tribulation... which means the Church, the
TRUE Church, the Body of Christ is taken up and out of the way of the coming
judgement. ...which means - the Church better be prepared as demanded by
scripture. What is required? Well that is a most enlightening and rewarding
bible study for anyone who REALLY
wants to know. I would get started immediately!
But then there are those who
assert their holiness and faith which, in their own hearts and minds,
establishes their position in the Body.
God Bless You! You better be sure, that
you ARE sure.
Rom. 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
And John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal
life."
So God wants you saved... very
much.
Genuine faith is
demonstrated through a transformed life, characterized by Christ-likeness.
Will He find faith on earth???
I think most of us can agree that
it doesn’t look good for whoever is left behind, whether unbelievers or pseudo-believers.
Obviously, not everyone who claims to be a follower of Christ will be granted
eternal life. Jesus said, “Enter by the narrow
gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and
there are many who go in by it. How narrow is the gate and difficult is the way
which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matt. 7:13–14.
Eternal life is not for those wanting a cheap and easy way to heaven while continuing to live their own selfish and worldly lives on earth. In the "day of judgment," many people will falsely claim to have done great things in Jesus' name, including prophesying, casting out demons, and performing miracles.
Jesus will respond to these claims
by saying, "I never knew you; depart from me,
you who practice lawlessness!" Matt. 7:22-23.
The only ones who will escape are those who have been born-again of the Spirit of God and, because of their love for the Lord, and their desire for the Will of God, and the knowledge of the Resurrection, and their gratitude... have progressed to a maturity of Christ formed in them. Will that really only be a “remnant?” We should not be surprised that more people will end up in hell and not heaven. Through out the Old Testament we read that God has always had His “people” but they are always referred to as a remnant.
Revelation 7:9 speaks of a great number... After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands. Rev. 7:14 says, These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation.
If there is a “great” multitude to be saved out of the Tribulation, how many might be saved “before” the Tribulation? We are not told. I believe FEW!
“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Phil. 2:12
What is certain is that there will
be far more in hell who have rejected the love and salvation of God.
Everyone knows there is NO
perfect church. Whose "fault" is that?
Of course, there are a few who, no doubt, believe they are perfect as they are.
Sad.
Notwithstanding... is there a
church that WANTS to be perfect?
I want to be a part of that.
