Traditions of men:
the Apostle Paul is
the worst sinner.
(1 Tim. 1:15)
Word of God:
the Apostle Paul is
FIRST in the Body of Christ.
(1 Tim. 1:15)
1 Tim. 1:15, This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief (protos).
1 Tim 1:16, However, for this
reason I obtained mercy, that in me FIRST (protos) Jesus Christ might show all
longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for
everlasting life.
Matt. 20:25-28, But Jesus called
them unto him, and said, You know that the PRINCES (chief) of the Gentiles
exercise dominion over them, and they that are GREAT (rank) exercise
authority upon them.
But it shall not be so among you:
but whosoever will be GREAT (rank) among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be CHIEF (protos/first)
among you, let him be your servant:
Even as the Son of man came not to
be ministered unto, but to MINISTER, and to give his life a ransom for many.
The Son of man; Son of God; Lord Jesus, even though He is Chief, first begotten, pre-eminent... did not come to be ministered to, but to minister and serve all.
CHIEF, Greek = “protos” = FIRST = “first
in time or place; first in rank.”
Scripture where “chief/protos” (G4413)
is used:
Matt 10:2; Matt 12:45; Matt 19:30; Matt 20:8; Matt 20:10; Matt 20:16; Matt 20:27; Matt 21:28; Matt 21:31; Matt 21:36; Matt 22:25; Matt 22:38; Matt 26:17; Matt 27:64; Mark 6:21; Mark 9:35; Mark 10:31; Mark 10:44; Mark 12:20; Mark 12:28; Mark 12:29; Mark 12:30; Mark 14:12; Mark 16:9; Luke 2:2; Luke 11:26; Luke 13:30; Luke 14:18; Luke 15:22; Luke 16:5; Luke 19:16; Luke 19:47; Luke 20:29; John 1:15; John 1:30; John 1:41; John 5:4; John 8:7; John 10:40; John 12:16; John 19:32; John 20:4; John 20:8; Acts 1:1; Acts 12:10; Acts13:50; Acts 16:12; Acts 17:4; Acts 20:18; Acts 25:2; and elswhere.
NOWHERE is “protos” translated as “worst”!
“Protos” is translated as, “first
in time or place; first in rank.”
Jesus ordained Paul to be the
FIRST called into the Body of Christ as the “master builder” to lay the
foundation of the Church... the Body of Christ, in which we are being “built up”
as God’s building... the Temple of God in which His Holy Spirit dwells. One
should study to understand this because if you are not a part of it – than all
you have is religion.
