Glorious Day!

       "Living, He loved me;
         Dying, He saved me;
         Buried, He carried my sins far away;
         Rising, He justified freely forever;
         One day He's coming...
         Oh glorious day, oh glorious day!

Today is a Glorious day! Jesus IS here because we are here.
Matt. 18:20:
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.

Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Oh Glorious Day!
The day Jesus was born in Bethlehem was, up to that point, the greatest day in history for mankind — greater than the day Israel walked through the Red Sea, greater than the day the temple was dedicated, greater even than the day God formed the earth and filled its oceans. As glorious as it was for God to mold the mountains and carve out each valley, it was more glorious for Him to step onto those mountains and into those valleys.

The song
O Holy Night says, “Long lay the world in sin and error pining, Until He appeared, and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and Glorious Morning.”

In
John 1:29: John the Baptist says, “Behold the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world.” Oh Glorious Day.

The Gospels record only about 37 miracles which Jesus performed.
John 21:25 says... There are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
Each miracle a Glorious Day for everyone involved. Jesus’ life on earth was about 10,950 days doing simple math. EACH one, a Glorious Day.

Thirty years after His birth, those
glorious days seemed to disappear when He laid His life down. The Righteous for the unrighteous, the Holy for the unholy, the Innocent for the guilty.

In Luke 18:31-34: Jesus had told His disciples that He would be taken and killed...
Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be fulfilled. He will be betrayed and handed over to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and ridiculed and insulted and abused and spit on, and after they have scourged Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise from the dead.”
But the disciples understood none of these things. (AMP)

To be clear... no one killed Jesus. HE WILLINGLY GAVE HIS LIFE for us.

How devastating it must have been for His followers to watch their hope of deliverance killed and buried... GONE!
But it was Glorious. As yet though, they did not understand.

On the third day, morning came — an even more glorious day.
He defeated death for us... “I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in me, though he should die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” John 11:25–26

Today we rejoice with “Joy unspeakable and full of glory.”
Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. 1 Peter 1:8-9 (NIV)

And even so, there remains another
GLORIOUS day...

We eagerly wait for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform this body of humiliation to be conformed to His GLORIOUS body...

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord.  1 Thess. 4:16-17

Glorious comfort, Glorious words, Glorious day.

And then there will be no more days... or nights... or weeks, or months. There will be no more TIME. Only Glorious Glory with the Lord of Glory!.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for the Glorious days You spent on earth. And we thank our God and Father for You, our Glorious gift. And we thank You for the Holy Spirit Who Gloriously comforts and teaches us. Teach us then, to live from glory to glory as we behold Your Glory, every Glorious day of our lives until You come for us. Even so, Come Lord Jesus. In Your Holy name I pray. Amen.
