TRUTH

John 18:37... Jesus is brought before Pilate and interrogated to some extent, then Pilate said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the TRUTH. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Pilate said to Him, What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.

What is Truth?
The world today is in a crisis of knowledge... the ruin of information overload. It is starving to know the truth, but doesn’t even know it is hungry. It is wasting away for lack of truth. It is dying at the banquet of lies.

A theory is quoted which says that “up until the year 1900, human knowledge approximately doubled every century. However, by 1950 human knowledge doubled every 25 years. In 2000, human knowledge doubled every year. Now, our knowledge is almost doubling every day.”
Digital Journal, 2018

D
aniel 12:4 says... Knowledge shall be increased. How is knowledge increased???
We don’t “invent” it. It’s not manufactured. We discover it. For example... electricity. Solomon said, “There is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9It’s always been there, but look what we did with it when we “discovered” it.

All kinds of knowledge, but knowledge is not wisdom, and not necessarily
Truth.
Prov. 9:10 says... The beginning of wisdom is fear of the LORD, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Consider your cell phone. By it, you have access to virtually everything man knows or thinks he knows, and it is no small repository. How much of all that is TRUTH?

EVERYTHING that points away from God is not Truth;
EVERYTHING that does not lead to Jesus leads to death;
EVERYTHING that does not speak of the Gospel of Christ is a LIE.

John 8:44
Jesus, speaking to the pharisees and perhaps the world in general, said... “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning (Adam was murdered), and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, (to Eve saying, ”you will not surely die”) he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” The world lives in a lie, and it produces lies.

2 Cor. 6:14, 17
 says... what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord.

We know the verse that says we are not of the world, but we must go out into the world, as ambassadors for Christ. He makes His plea to the world, "Be reconciled to God!" ...through us, 2 Cor. 5:20

Jesus said, “I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” John 14:6
Jesus is Himself the way to the truth (Himself) and to eternal life.

Every Lord’s Day, we remember
Jesus for what He secured for us by going to that Roman cross... accused, and condemned

by the Jews of that day, who lusted for His death... all as it was ordained of God. Why? For REDEMPTION; because God SO loved the world.

I hate what’s going on in the world, but I have to try and reach out to some in hope of saving one. If we do not
manifestly take Jesus with us, to our jobs, our recreation, our travels, our life’s events in the world, we do the world a great disservice, and we bring a reproach on ourselves. And we show a disrespect toward the glory of God’s name. Lord help me with this because being pious for three hours on Sunday morning is only a small part in making me mature toward my conformation to the image of Christ. Rom. 8:29

The Apostle Paul said... “I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” 1 Cor. 9:22
Does this mean that I should go have a beer with somebody I don’t know in a bar so that I can share John 3:16 with them? I don’t think so, but perhaps??? It does mean though, that we must engage with the lost for Christ’s sake.

Jesus ENGAGED people, even confronted them... with the Truth.
