The Ungodly

Who is more depraved and ungodly in these photos?

the "guys" on the left, or the guys on the right?

There was a time when the answer was, "There is no difference, they are the SAME."

The difference NOW is that the guys on the right made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. That means I realized and confessed to God that I am a sinner and had no relationship to God and was condemned to an eternal hell, forever separated from God. But now, I believe that Jesus Christ is, not only the Son of God, John 1:1-14 – but also God the Son, Who came to earth to die for mankind, John. 3:16. I believe He, a man WITHOUT sin, gave Himself for sinners.

Not only did He live and die a sacrificial life, but also an exemplary life for us to follow.
I believe He died a cruel death on the cross, was buried and raised Himself up from the grave because death had no claim or power over Him.

I was a church-goer, was "confirmed" into the catholic church, went to "priestly" confessions (on occasion), and tried to be "not as bad" as some people. But all that…
the BEST you can be, will NOT get you into the kingdom of God;
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23
You MUST be born again…from above. John 3:3

And so, now I am forgiven, cleansed, and reconciled to God. Have I been made perfect and sinless? No! But I am blameless in Christ.

I believe Jesus is ALIVE now in heaven, but will be coming soon for His "Church" (rapture) and then comes the judgement on the earth culminating in Jesus' return as King. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me." John 14:6. He also said, "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, yet shall he live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." John 11:25-26.

The GOSPEL

"...that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures..." 1 COR. 15:3-4.

As defined by Paul, THE Gospel declares the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus the Christ according to the Scriptures. But surely that declaration doesn't explain the full Gospel message of the entire Word of God, which reveals Who the biblical God is (the Father), Who the biblical Christ is (God the Son), what the biblical problem between God and man is (sin), the biblical and only means of man's forgiveness by God (the cross and repentance), and the eternal consequences for those who reject the biblical Gospel (eternal separation from God, i.e., Lake of Fire). None of these is a peripheral point of doctrine (to the Gospel) to be ignored or compromised. To do so would be a departure from the faith into apostasy to proclaim a false gospel.

As AWESOME as that is, even more awesome (to me) is that Jesus Christ should do that for me!
